How much protein do you really need?
The official minimum and the amount that's actually useful for an active person are two very different numbers โ and confusing them is where most of the internet goes wrong.
Protein is having a moment, and with it comes a wave of conflicting advice. The good news is that the science here is fairly settled. The key is understanding that there isn't one magic number โ it depends on your body weight and how active you are.
